Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dhule the “Farm Science Center” of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi was established in 1983. The KVK works for Dhule District of Maharashtra state and hosted by MahatmaPhule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, Maharashtra. The KVK is situated in the sprawling campus of College of Agriculture, Dhule. The objective of the KVK is to work on assessment, refinement and transfer of agricultural and allied technologies and tranfer of skill through training in agriculture and allied sectors for farmers/ farm womens of the district.
Our University- The Host Institute KVK, Dhule works under the administrative control of MPKV, Rahuri (MS). MPKV is a premier State Agriculture University in the country under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. At present 10 districts of western Maharashtra fall under the jurisdiction of this university. Agricultural education, research and extension education are the three mandates of this university. Govt. of India recognized MPKV, Rahuri university as “The Best Agriculture University of India in the year 2008 and sanction special funds of Rs. 100 Crores in the 11th five year plan. The University headquarters are located at Rahuri, Nagar-Manmad Rd(Highway No-6) at a distance of 35 Km from Ahmednagar.
